The medical industry is full of wonderful technology
that saves the lives of millions of people every year.
However, much of that same technology requires clinicians to spend
time taking care of equipment rather than the patients they are working so
hard to serve.
Vigilance Medical Technologies was born from SEP,
a company with an extensive background in interfacing
technologies. Our focus is to develop products that bring
patient-centric information from medical devices to the clinician.
Many medical devices -- from ventilators to infusion
pumps -- have the ability to collect an amazing amount of
information about the patients to which they are connected. When
something goes wrong, these devices are at the front line of
information gathering. They even have the ability to communicate
that information, if there is someone to listen. We think
that the "hoping someone will listen" approach isn't good
enough.
We have committed to developing connectivity
technology that makes electronic medical device information
available to the people who need it -- clinicians -- wherever they
are.
